our plan for change

A realistic plan to deliver our policies

Policy is nothing without delivery. That’s why we have a dedicated group at the heart of our plans, solely focussed on getting things done.

Putting integrity and accountability back into politics

Less than a third (28%) of the islanders we spoke with in the summer of 2024 felt they could trust their politicians. That’s frankly not good enough.

Our manifesto gives our States Assembly a framework of well-researched, clearly thought-out policy that the electorate can get behind.

We cannot afford another wasted term of government rehashing the same old arguments. The time for change is now.

What matters to you, matters to us

Generate widespread prosperity for all in a growing economy

A tax system fit for the future

Delivery of much-needed housing, affordable to our community

A sensible plan for climate transition from which the island benefits economically

A reliable healthcare system

Deliver an education programme providing the skills our community needs

A policy-based platform built by islanders, for islanders

We listened to islanders via an intensive programme of research, and what we discovered concerned us.

Just one in ten (13%) felt the political system worked. Three quarters (75%) of the people we spoke to said they want the States to govern based on policy, rather than personality.

Islanders also told us about their priorities, and we addressed these by collaborating with the community to create a suite of policies which shape a future direction for Guernsey.

About Future Guernsey

We aim to deliver real change

In recent times, Guernsey’s States Assembly has been characterised by incoherent, dysfunctional, and unaccountable governments that struggle to deliver the most basic of policies.

We know we can do better. But we can’t do better without unity, optimism and a fundamental change towards enduring, policy-led government.

No more U-turns, no more can-kicking. We have proposed a set of policies that can unite Guernsey in the long-term and deliver our vision of an island that is a welcoming, optimistic place with widespread prosperity.
